Six of us met on Saturday morning for a bit of a last minute bike ride on a cool but dry, pretending-to-be-spring day. We kept up a reasonable pace on well known bike routes out to Bjorn Bar Bakery in Burquitlam for well-deserved elevenses. Investigating a slightly new path back to Eastlake Drive resulted in a minor route-error, but what’s a bike ride without a U-turn?! Returning northwest along BC Parkway we detoured up Joyce to Panadeira Latina for their really tasty empanadas and paused in a nearby park to eat them before heading home. A most enjoyable ride of around 55km (or 82 for the ambitious north-shorer) with lots of beautiful blossom trees in full bloom.
