One of the Unidentified Fungi or an Unidentified Fungus, or possibly a red-pored bolete, picture by Adrienne

This was really just a pleasant autumn stroll, attracting a grand total of four people on what turned out to be a pretty nice day. The original plan for a loop came to nothing as the noon to 0600 clockwise part of the loop was closed off, No Trespassing signs and a recently constructed berm too. Plenty of parking for our 0900 arrival, however the parking lot was full when we left in the afternoon. 14.8kms soon passed, lots of fungi and beautiful lake reflections too, far is here and the clouds were lovely with a full fast flowing river providing background noise and atmosphere. A few people on the trail, except around the falls themselves, very crowded there.
We did indeed see lots of fungi, some of which we were able to identify, others apparently wished to remain anonymous.
