Hollyburn and a Waxing Gibbous Moon

In the distance, the city lights by Louise

Eleven of us met up at 4:00 pm to hike/spike up Hollyburn Mountain.    The first half hour of the trail had barely any snow, but after that the trail was good to spike on.    It’s shocking to see how little snow is up there.

A few of us stopped below the summit as the last section was becoming very icy.  It was dark by this time and the city views were beautiful.    Half the group went to the top to take in the views and came back down to have their dinner and hot drinks with the rest of us.    Lots of snacks were shared around the group.

We were back down to our cars by 7:30
