Five members ventured out to hike Brandywine Mountain. We were lucky that Maya was skilled, confident and brave to drive up the 6 km FSR to the upper parking lot. That road is not for the faint of heart! It saved 500 m in EG.

The weather was perfect and bugs not too bad in the meadow.

We all enjoyed the views through the meadows before scrambling up the scree. But what a payoff! The weather was beautiful and we had clear views of the beautiful mountains before heading up to the ridge. We continued to enjoy the majestic mountains while at our lunch spot on the ridge. A few small groups continued onto Brandywine Mountain, but we were very satisfied with our accomplishment.

What goes up must come down. We all took care to not slip and slide on some of the very loose rocks and sandy sections of the scree.

More bugs awaited us as we continued down through the meadows.

Total time was 5.5 hours with 4.5 - 5 being moving time. 770 m EG in 10 km.
