St Mark’s Snowshoe

Martina writes:-

Eight of us met to snowshoe St. Mark's.

The trail was a mix of exposed rock, roots and snow.   It snowed non-stop  with many heavy wind gusts.   We decided to stop and have a snack at the lower summit of St. Mark’s and assess the conditions.   We met a couple of groups that were coming down that did not make it to St. Mark’s due the wind and they could not find the trail markers.   After a quick snack the decision was made to head back down.    We were surprised to see how much snow had fallen when we passed through Strachan Meadows.   You couldn’t tell that while hiking through the forest.

When we got back to our cars we were shocked to see about 6 - 7 inches of snow on our cars!
