Eagle Bluffs Snowshoe, January 20th 2024

A group of four, including a new attendee, decided to trust the weather person and ventured off to snowshoe Eagle Bluffs on Saturday, January 20.

Skiers were ready to race to the lineup for the chairlifts, while we made our way on snowshoes / microspikes to Black Mountain. Weather was mild, so we needed microbreaks for layering off, catching our breath on the steep ascent & taking pics of the lovely views.

After a short stop on top of Black Mountain, all continued to Eagle Bluffs on snowshoes. We came across some who wished they had brought snowshoes.  It was a great, but nippy, break the Bluffs and we shared the spot with two Torontians with a lovely dog. Our way back was easier & we heard the happy sounds of skiers whooshing down the runs.

It was a wonderful Saturday on a beautiful winter wonderland trail with great company.

Our stats surpassed the info the AllTrails of 8 km, 437 m elevation.

Here’s the route from Iain’s Garmin GPSMAP67i
