Elk Mountain Hike Saturday May 2, 2026

Four of us enjoyed a hike to Elk Mountain (https://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/elk-mountain/).
No snow and beautiful, warm weather.
A bit of rain in the morning seemed to have deterred people from starting early so we had no problem finding parking in the lot when we arrived at 8:30 am.
Views were stunning, and a few flowers were starting to pop out. Some of us had a short nap at the top, while others snacked and enjoyed the views. We spotted a woodpecker.
There were a lot of people heading up as we were coming down.
