Hollyburn by Moonlight, Saturday February 28th 2026

Eleven members and one guest joined up at 4:30 pm for this sunset hike. It was a familiar trail for most of us; not too long, but with steep pitches. Everyone opted for spikes, which worked well. We took our time on the way up, stopping to admire and photograph the beautiful views of the sunset and moon and the city lights below us. We caught the last of the sunset sky at the top as we ate our snacks. Headlamps helped on the way down but the moon was bright enough to cast shadows and the city shimmered below us. As always, there was lots of laughter and good conversations, whichcontinued when 8 of us finished off the evening at Queens Cross Pub.
