A last minute Saturday bike ride brought 6 of us out into the sunshine, although there was a fairly brisk breeze keeping us cool. After a slightly meandering start through Gastown (Garmin user error), and a brief stop for a puncture repair (with 5 of us suitably impressed by Alexander's automatic tire pump) we picked up the route along Adanac heading out towards Burnaby before dropping down onto Joyce Street to Panadeira cafe. Craig bravely guarded the bikes while the rest of us bought our empanadas, then we cycled on to Central Park and found a picnic bench for lunch. Further Garmin user error and a complete lack of looking at the planned route meant we took the easy route back downtown via BC Parkway, with people peeling off homewards at various convenient points along the way. A fun, relaxed lunchtime outing, 30 - 50km depending on start points on North Shore or downtown.
