Solstice Walk December 21st 2025

Twas four days before Christmas and on the North Shore
The houses were lit up-we had to see more!
We started at Sue’s in the wind and the rain
But armed with umbrellas we all said “We’re game!”
We 12 were excited to view all the homes
We saw Santas and Snoopy’s and igloos with domes (and an occasional Rudolph)
The night became clear and we stopped at the Quay
Finding gifts at the Market or a hot cup of tea
After climbing the hill we were ready and able
To feast on the fine food on Sue’s Christmas table
There was chili and cookies and everything nice
(Excepting the Bailey’s since we had no fresh ice....)
A right lovely evening with laughter and cheer,
So Merry Christmas to all and good hiking next year!
